Tough. Invulnerable, like his namesake from Greek mythology. When he jokingly robbed a shop, with a water pistol, the consequences soon turned out to be considerable. Now, years later, he tours schools to tell about it. To save others from making the same mistakes. Until his mother is suddenly in front of him - and the story takes an unexpected turn.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show is interactive, musical and playful - and very entertaining. Achilles asks sharp questions: What is real strength? Is it never crying and hiding your fears? Or is it daring to admit that you are wrong, that you are sometimes afraid? The performance challenges both children and adults to think about this -during and afterwards at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performance plays at Leidsche Rijn College, a secondary school that turns into a theatre in the evenings and weekends. By breaking the boundary between education and art, the themes of peer pressure, identity and resilience are addressed exactly where they belong. Tangible and recognisable. You discover together what is really tough. Do you dare?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this special project, The NUT aims to discuss the hardening of society openly and vulnerably with the audience. The performance is a gripping, sometimes uncomfortable story about strength and vulnerability. And for the first time, you as an audience can be part of it. Because Achilles is not only playing for school classes.
