{"id":135738,"date":"2026-08-28T17:19:05","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T15:19:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cultureelpersbureau.nl\/?p=135738"},"modified":"2026-08-28T17:19:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T15:19:12","slug":"tim-hoogesteger-nieuwe-zakelijk-directeur-november-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cultureelpersbureau.nl\/en\/2026\/08\/tim-hoogesteger-nieuwe-zakelijk-directeur-november-music\/","title":{"rendered":"Tim Hoogesteger appointed new commercial director of November Music"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 1 September 2026, Tim Hoogesteger will take up his post as the new managing director of November Music, the annual ten-day festival in \u2019s-Hertogenbosch where contemporary music, jazz, electronic music and other adventurous genres come together. Hoogesteger brings with him extensive experience in business management, production and fundraising within the cultural sector. He also has many years\u2019 experience as a DJ and music producer. At November Music, he will form the management team alongside General and Artistic Director Marieke Hopman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoogesteger has worked for organisations including the Dutch Electronic Art Festival, V2_ and Cinekid, and served as managing director at Next Nature. There, he helped transform the organisation from one that worked exclusively with freelancers into one with dozens of staff members. He was responsible for the entire day-to-day running of the organisation and, consequently, for overseeing finance, production, HR, sales and fundraising. He was also jointly responsible for the development of the Next Nature Museum in the Evoluon, a listed building in Eindhoven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well as his business career, Hoogesteger has a strong background in music. Between 1991 and 2006, he worked as a DJ and music producer, releasing music under various names. He performed both at home and abroad and, since 2025, has been a co-founder of two music studios in Rotterdam\u2019s Hofbogen. For Hoogesteger, the move to November Music is a conscious decision to reconnect his business experience more closely with music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve done a lot of touring and created a lot of work myself, so I know what it\u2019s like to be an artist and to be on stage. What I find really cool is creating the conditions, from a business perspective, that allow that creativity to flourish,\u201d said Hoogesteger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hoogesteger sees November Music as a passionate organisation with a strong artistic and international standing. The festival\u2019s breadth, ranging from composed music to electronic music, aligns with his own musical background and interests. In his new role, he aims to use his experience to further develop the organisation and create an environment in which artists and new music are given space to flourish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karen Neervoort, on behalf of the November Music board: \u201cThe board has every confidence in Tim Hoogesteger as the new managing director.
