Voor het eerst zijn alle twaalf provincies hierin vertegenwoordigd. In de convenanten staan afspraken tussen het ministerie en de medeoverheden, vanuit het gedeelde belang van cultuur, over de gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid voor de cultuursector en de onderlinge samenwerking op cultuurgebied. De convenanten zijn ondertekend tijdens ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), een jaarlijks muziekfestival in Groningen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eppo Bruins, minister van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap: &#8220;<em>Cultuur is bij uitstek iets van ons allemaal. We maken daarom met verschillende overheden afspraken over de inzet van cultuurbeleid en de prioriteiten die we hieraan geven. De aandacht voor talent heeft hierin een belangrijke rol, waarbij we vooral creatieve makers de ruimte willen geven om zich te ontplooien. Zo werken we aan het fundament van een levendige en toekomstbestendige culturele sector.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In de convenanten maken OCW en de medeoverheden afspraken over gezamenlijke prioriteiten op cultuurgebied. Daarmee wordt de culturele sector in het hele land versterkt. Zo worden in alle convenanten de subsidies aan meerjarig ondersteunde instellingen vastgelegd en afspraken gemaakt over het naleven van de culturele codes, eerlijke beloning voor makers, het belang van talentontwikkeling en de omgang met publieke collecties. Daarnaast worden specifieke afspraken gemaakt die aansluiten op de behoeften van de individuele regio\u2019s. De negen convenanten bieden een stevige basis voor de waardevolle samenwerking tussen overheden op het gebied van cultuur in de komende vier jaar.\u00a0 De convenantsafspraken dragen bij aan het lokale maakklimaat, waardoor regionale talentennetwerken zoals bijvoorbeeld Muziekhub NOORD in We The North en PLAN Brabant in BrabantStad zich kunnen ontwikkelen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De negen cultuurconvenanten zijn op 17 januari 2025 ondertekend tijdens ESNS, een jaarlijks muziekfestival en conferentie in Groningen, waar Europees en Nederlands muziektalent in de schijnwerpers wordt gezet en muziekprofessionals samenkomen om kennis op te doen over nieuwe ontwikkelingen in de muziekindustrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[1] De convenantsgebieden waarmee afspraken zijn gemaakt zijn Flevoland, Landsdeel Oost, Limburg, Noord-Brabant, Noord-Holland, Utrecht, We the North, Zeeland en Zuid-Holland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[2] De cultuurregio\u2019s zijn samenwerkingsverbanden tussen provincies en gemeenten op gebied van cultuurbeleid.
