From 1 April, she will take over from interim business director Winfred Voordendag and form the board of Maas theatre and dance with artistic director Ren\u00e9 Geerlings and interim artistic director Carole van Ditzhuyzen. Marlou has worked in the cultural sector for 30 years, mostly in Rotterdam, including 14 years in various leadership and business roles. The organisation and Marlou look forward to her arrival with great confidence and enthusiasm.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cobi van Beek, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Maas theatre and dance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Maas is a distinctly well-functioning artistic complex. That suits a business director with broad experience, who keeps a cool head, lets the heart speak, who dares to doubt and can be sure. Together with the artistic management and a representation from the organisation, the Supervisory Board chose Marlou Stolk with full confidence. We look forward to Marlou strengthening and continuing Maas' highly committed leadership and direction.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marlou (1975) is an experienced change manager and strategic advisor with extensive experience in the cultural sector. Among other things, she was manager Education &amp; Interaction at Theater Rotterdam and Het Nationale Theater (a.i.) and strategic advisor at various institutions including Kenniscentrum Cultuuronderwijs Rotterdam and Korzo Theater. Before that, she was also Programme Leader Education and Young Talent at the Ro Theatre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also holds ancillary positions in many places such as committee member theatre, film and dance (national) at the Culture Fund, advisor at the Performing Arts Fund, chairman of the board at No Mad Is Me (Giovanni Brand) and Meander Immersive. Marlou lives in Rotterdam and is looking forward to starting work at Maas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"It is with great enthusiasm that I start as business director at Maas theatre and dance in April. Maas knows like no other how to connect youth performing arts with a wide audience, with room for different perspectives. I have often experienced this myself, both from the audience and in collaborations.
