Before her writing career, she worked at literary agency Manus. Nelson studied creative writing\u00a0<\/em>and literary studies and has a master's degree in poetry from Brown University. She later obtained her second master's degree, focusing on YA literature and writing for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ik geef je de zon won several awards: it was among others nominated for the Children and Youth Jury Flanders, and was voted Best Young Adult 2015 by Wed<\/em>\u00a0and by\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0to Notable Book of the Year<\/em>. Her latest book,\u00a0When the world falters<\/em>, has previously been translated into 18 languages and has been on the Top Lists of Barnes & Noble, Kirkus and\u00a0Irish Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the world falters<\/em> tells the story of the Fall family.
