From season '25\/'26, Asko|Sch\u00f6nberg will be called&nbsp;<strong>The Music<\/strong>&nbsp;- with the powerful promise:&nbsp;<strong>The new sound<\/strong>. The new name reflects the ensemble's role in the musical landscape: not following, but guiding. The Music moves forward - idiosyncratic, unpredictable and keen on what music is today and dares to be tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"The name The Music may sound simple,\" says artistic director Fedor Teunisse, \"but it is actually radical in its clarity. It chafes. It puts music at the centre as a concept, as a force, as a sanctuary. And it is at the same time open, inviting and layered - just like us.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More than a name change<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Music builds on the rich history of Asko|Sch\u00f6nberg, which has built a solid reputation as the ensemble for new music. With high-profile concerts, innovative collaborations and in-depth research, the ensemble is sharpening its vision: even more room for new voices, social themes, interdisciplinary projects, education, technology and unexpected formats that redefine the relationship between audience, makers and music.<strong> <\/strong>The Music opts for innovation, meeting, imagination and social relevance.<strong> <\/strong>A frontline of sound, experience and meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From Asko|Sch\u00f6nberg to The Music<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The name\u00a0<strong>The Music<\/strong>\u00a0was born out of a creative process with design agency <a href=\"https:\/\/lava.nl\/\">Lava<\/a>, guided by the artistic mission. The choice is bold: a linguistic break, meant to linger, unsettle - and excite.<strong> <\/strong>Just like the ensemble itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name change is part of a wider rebranding exercise. In the coming months, Lava will work with Lava to further develop the brand. The official launch of the new identity, including a visual style and website, will follow in September 2025.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Music.
