ZID Theatre<\/strong> (Amsterdam) and Madam Fortuna<\/strong> (Antwerp) present Missing & Wishing, an intercultural theatre programme in which a group of young makers from Amsterdam and Antwerp share their personal stories. On 6 November, at 20.00 at Laaktheater Den Haag, they will present short, powerful solos in which loss, longing and hope come together in a multifaceted mix of theatre, spoken word, dance and soundscapes. What happens when dreams collide with memories? When what you miss is also what you hope for? Missing & Wishing takes the audience into intimate narratives that touch on universal emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young makers, each with their own background and artistic language, show their dreams, memories and surprising perspectives. Travel along in the makers' individual journeys. In words, images and movement, they tell what touches them: raw, sensitive, surprising and recognisable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the project<\/strong>
Missing & Wishing is an inspiring collaboration between Madam Fortuna (Antwerp) and ZID Theatre (Amsterdam), co-sponsored by Erasmus+. Seven young theatre makers followed a trajectory with workshops, exchange, and peer-to-peer coaching, including during ExploreZ 2025. Under the guidance of experienced directors and theatre-makers, they developed their own performance. After The Hague, presentations will follow in Ghent, Antwerp and Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About ZID Theatre<\/strong>
ZID Theatre is a cultural organisation, producer and stage in Amsterdam. ZID produces multidisciplinary performances and the annual international ExploreZ Festival, and provides training for makers and performers. Talent development and creating opportunities for up-and-coming talent with a refugee past and migration background are essential to ZID's work. ZID's work is deeply rooted in metropolitan dynamics and issues. The performances are created through co-creation, are associative and consist of authentic concepts by the creators. ZID works urban, national and international. Besides the Netherlands, ZID has been seen in Europe, South America, the United States, Russia and Morocco. ZID has received several awards for its work. In 2020, Karolina Spai\u0107, director of ZID, was appointed with the Royal Decoration as Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Madam Fortuna<\/strong>
Madam Fortuna is an Antwerp-based participatory arts organisation: an artistic laboratory for enthusiasts, aspiring artists and professionals. Together they create theatre, music, singing and spoken word, with exchange and encounter as their driving force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organisation performs in its own auditorium, in public spaces, at festivals, in Flemish cultural houses and internationally. Madam Fortuna works with participants, audiences and artists from various cultures and generations.
