Het is de eerste CAMPO-voorstelling van de Indiase theatermaker en curator, in samenwerking met zijn eigen productiehuis Studio Current.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De kern van The Harvest of Broken Promises is een eenvoudig maar urgent beeld: een stuk land dat is vergeten hoe zichzelf te onderhouden. Tiwari groeide op in een boerenfamilie en keert terug naar zijn herinneringen aan de traditionele, duurzame landbouwmethoden uit zijn jeugd.\u202fHij reflecteert op het geleidelijke verdwijnen van deze praktijken in de afgelopen dertig jaar. Sinds zijn verhuis naar Europa in 2019 heeft Tiwari de lokale landbouwmethoden van dichtbij geobserveerd. Hoewel hij zich op een ander continent bevindt, ziet hij vergelijkbare worstelingen die niettemin worden getekend door een duidelijke kloof in de tijd. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tiwari weeft videobeelden, interviews, beeldende kunst, muziek en volksverhalen aaneen tot een\u202fmeeslepend mooi en hoogst actueel theaterstuk dat een vurig pleidooi houdt voor zaden als het fundament van ons voortbestaan. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sinds hij vijf jaar geleden afstudeerde aan DAS Theater in Amsterdam, heeft de in Balrampur (India) geboren Tiwari niet stilgezeten, integendeel.\u202fHij maakte met Nick Verstand het theaterstuk Paper Planes waarvoor hij 15.000 papieren vliegtuigjes vouwde. Met Michiel Vandevelde en Eneas Prawdzic cre\u00eberde hij vorig jaar Violenza 2025, een voorstelling over rechts extremisme. Daarnaast werkte hij in Z\u00fcrich (als curator van\u202fGessnerallee) en in Amsterdam, waar hij artistiek directeur is van Studio Current.
