MAAS TV AND MAAS @ HOME THEATRE-HOME PROGRAMME FOR YOUNG AND OLD

THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE

Cultural organisations with a Cultural Membership can place their press releases on our site without restrictions. Participate too? Take a Cultural Membership.

Under the guise of 'what can still be done', Maas theatre and dance has developed a programme for children, young people, parents sitting at home who do feel like or need theatre in these unreal times. We devised Maas TV, an online channel on our website on which children, young people and adults can watch a daily registration of an old Maas performance. We also developed Maas @ Home which includes a Writing for Theatre Workshop, Do Nothing Course and a Sing-a-long in quarantine. Maas had to cancel 63 touring performances and eight programmed performances at the Maas stage until 6 April 2020.

MAAS @ HOME

For all the home-sitters and couch potatoes: all on your feet, we're going to do something. At Maas @ Home, we'll help you through this crazy period. For example, how about a Do Nothing Course (but actually dream big), an Applause Workshop (to learn to clap properly for our caregivers) or a Writing for Theatre Course? We also have tutorials where you can learn an entire choreography and warm-ups by actors and dancers from Maas. But also Meet & Greets with actors you are now missing out on because performances are cancelled and a Sing-a-long in quarantine.

MAAS TV

We are not playing Lampje, Uniform, Juffenballet and Rascal in the coming weeks and the Maaspodium is also closed until 6 April 2020, but you can still watch theatre. At home on the couch. Via Maas TV, you can watch registrations of old Maas performances, a new one every day. Think golden oldies like Alone in the world, Three, Hello family, Love, Alice in Wonderland, but also When we left Rotterdam and Spring Sacrifice.

TEACHING ART AT HOME

Want to give your kids an art lesson at home and need inspiration? At www.steljevoor010.nl you will find dozens of inspiring examples of art lessons developed for primary schools by artists from Villa Zebra and performing artists from Maas theatre and dance. For example, there are lessons theatre and lessons pictorial.

Imagine is a programme by KCR, Villa Zebra and Maas aimed at embedding art education in primary education. We are also happy to offer the lessons developed for teachers to parents who want to teach their children at home in the coming weeks and consider art important.
