Mime in the Netherlands is multifaceted: it sometimes touches on visual art, sometimes moves towards text, but also draws inspiration from modern dance, film and music. It is physical, associative, poetic. It is precisely this broad, interdisciplinary character that the new Zéro Mime & Performance Festival wants to show.
In addition to Knock-Out by Jakop Ahlbom Company& ISH Dance Collective, see the latest performance by mime duo ROTOR (winner of the BNG Bank Theatre Prize), recent work by young mime makers and performers, installations and after-parties. Not a mime connoisseur? Visit an aftertalk or take the Watching course in mime: an exercise in watching.
ZÉRO: A world to marvel at and be touched by. A festival by Stichting Mimeplatform Nederland: Jakop Ahlbom Company, Golden Palace and Schweigman& in collaboration with de Meervaart.
