On Monday 21 November, the chamber has one more chance to stop the desertification of Dutch culture. After all, the disproportionate attack on the budgets for music schools, orchestras, theatre groups and drawing lessons will be debated by the chamber then. It all happens in the Groen van Prinstererzaal in the Lower House building, and it is of course broadcast on the Lower House internet station, but there are still people who don't have a TV in their car or at work. That is why we keep a liveblog.
We follow live who says what and why, watch the bodylanguage of culture hater Martin Bosma and football law specialist Bart de Liefde. And we listen to you. Because you can join: responses can be processed via email, or incorporated directly into the liveblog. Are you a member of parliament, or a cleaner at an affected gzelship: sign up via twitter to participate. Are you going to put up a nice demonstration: let us know, send in your video or take a nice photo. In short, one big interactive carnival, that Liveblog of ours.
In June, when civilisation marched and the opposition was lulled to sleep by Halbe Zijlstra, we attracted 20,000 visitors with our liveblog. It doesn't have to be that much this time.
Though it is cosy.
Look, that day, in short, at our liveblog page.
