Per 1 januari 2017 wordt een richtlijn voor kunstenaarshonoraria geïntroduceerd in Nederland. Belangenvereniging Platform BK is één van de initiatiefnemers van deze richtlijn. De richtlijn geldt voor exposities zonder verkoopdoel. De richtlijn beoogt de contractpraktijk tussen kunstinstellingen en kunstenaars te professionaliseren en levert een bijdrage aan het verbeteren van de inkomenspositie van beeldend kunstenaars. De richtlijn wordt op 8 december gelanceerd en begin 2017 officieel gepresenteerd op een bijeenkomst in Den Haag, in aanwezigheid van SER-voorzitter Mariëtte Hamer en mogelijk Raad voor Cultuur-voorzitter Marijke van Hees.
