Louis Stiller

Louis Stiller (1959) is a journalist, writer, editor-in-chief and publisher. He has written dozens of books on diverse subjects: the gas quakes in Groningen (Gasland, 2018), railway lines (Sporen door het Hogeland, 2018), writing (Het Grote Schrijf-Doe-Boek, 2011) and Het Amsterdamse bomenboek (2007). Stiller is initiator and publisher of Leesbaar Laagland, which publishes colourful citation cards (www.leesbaarlaagland.nl), chairman of the Institute for the Future of Storytelling, cinema owner in Warffum, North Groningen, and publisher of the Stichting Boekgroep Noord-Groningen (see www.louisstiller.nl). Stiller once won the ECI Essay Prize and the Groninger Pers Prijs in 2016, and received the Belcampo Stipendium from the Province of Groningen in 1995. He divides his time between Amsterdam and the Hogeland of Groningen.
