According to Culture alderman Michiel van Wessem, for a number of cultural institutions, the fixity with which they currently receive multi-year subsidies will disappear. They will soon be able to apply for subsidies based on their productions and projects. "We don't want to subsidise institutions but activities" (...).
A number of major cultural institutions are designated as basic facilities and retain structural subsidies. (Gelderland) Grant for marketing Hattem museums
The Museum Activities Foundation will receive a grant of €15,000 from the municipality of Hattem spread over two years to implement its marketing plan. (...) The three museums of Hattem, the Anton Pieck Museum, the Nederlands Bakkerijmuseum and the Voerman Museum, will be promoted among others through a website, a digital newsletter and social media like Twitter and Facebook. Day trips and the museums' group packages, for example, will also be better promoted. (..)
Besides a boost for the museums, an increase in visitors to the museums also means a boost for Hattem as a whole. The commitment of the marketing plan is an increase by 15% over three years to over 77,000 visitors. (...) An investment in the museums is therefore also important for the municipality.

Museum Boijmans seeks money with chain letter

Gelderland - Half a Million for Bilbiobus Research
The province wants to commit €500,000 to look at how a library facility can still remain in small towns. (..)
As municipalities are cutting back on the biblio buses and the province has also decided to stop giving subsidies, only 3 or 4 of the 7 biblio buses in Gelderland remain in operation, according to the SP.
