A weekend of short, scintillating plays at The Hague Theatre; being tossed back and forth between a warm bath of appreciation 'that you are there' and the futility of that same existence.

Uncomfortable, irritating, tedious, drab, defiant, festering; the hour-long monologue 'Tom Pain (based on nothing)' performed by Bram Coopmans of Het Nationale Theater definitely leaves you with an unpleasant feeling. It just doesn't want to become harmonious, keeps chafing all the time.
