During the 7th edition of the Brabant International Children's Festival (BRIK) went our latest performance For the Wire With It premiered and presented for the last time Mankind with Paul van Kemenade and Stevko Busch.

For the Wire With It premieres

On Saturday 24 June, Voor de Draad Ermee premiered to a full house at the Chassé Theatre! In this new performance, two dancers, two chairs, a table and a bed complete the domestic world in choreography by Jack Timmermans.

The final chapter of Mankind

'Where are we going?

In search of that answer, we can open the books.

So what?

With two performances in the Grote Kerk is after five years and more than 70 performances Mankind danced for the very last time. With live music by Paul van Kemenade (saxophone) and Stevko Busch (piano). Artistic director and choreographer Jack Timmermans devised a way to give this performance the best possible space at this historic venue. 'That's how we ended up with the spot for the organ, with a grandstand setup and using the unique features of the Grote Kerk.'

A singer and a dancer meet in Komen en Gaan: a new dance performance by choreographer Jack Timmermans featuring Belgian soprano Kelly Poukens. We're still waiting for it to premiere in 2024. We already share a sneak peek:

Home performances

In June, we started performances in our own theatre in Breda. We think it is important that every family can visit the theatre. Decide what you can or want to miss and buy a ticket for €1, €5 or €10. Each ticket gives access for one person.

First summer break, then South Africa

From 15 July to 16 August, our office will be closed.

After the summer, we kick off our tour of Flying Cow in South Africa. We will present performances at Festival Cradle of Creativy in Johannesburg and the JOMBA! Festival in Durban. In collaboration with Assitej SA we organise a workshop for South African choreographers. We also present 1-2s in schools.
