On Sunday 14 January at 3pm, the dance and music performance Tegenwind will premiere at the Chassé theatre in Breda, a family performance for everyone aged 7 and above.
Tegenwind is the follow-up to the successful collaboration between dance company de Stilte and Artvark saxophone quartet in the production Bosch in Bed.
Bob Dylan
The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
the answer is blowin' in the wind.
Anyone listening to Blowin' in the wind by Bob Dylan hears a song in which big questions are blown away unanswered. In Counterwind, four saxophonists blow back. Four dancers set in motion a world between dusk and dawn with the opening of the curtains. A private universe of music and dance.
The stage exudes a bygone era and seems to refer to terraces, squares and similar locations where people gather, meet, leave each other.
Based on Artvark's full album Mother of Thousand, choreographer Jack Timmermans created 13 sketches to as many pieces of music in a changing backdrop of glass curtains and chairs.

About performance Bosch in Bed
'This is literally and figuratively a fabulous performance. Particularly striking was the successful collaboration between multiple art disciplines, which flowed organically into each other' - Brabants Dagblad
Saxophone quartet Artvark plays a crucial role. Bart Wirtz, Rolf Delfos, Mete Erker and Peter Broekhuizen are not only on the floor as musicians, they and their instruments are also put to full use as co-actors in the story of the girl who has to be admitted for an operation. - The Theaterkrant
About album Mother of Thousand
'Artvark seeks and finds a contemporary sound thanks to inventive recording techniques, such as placing a snare drum between sax and microphone. On the other hand, the group eagerly dives into the past with the use of often rare historical saxophones. It produces wonderfully hallucinatory music.' - 'Allegiance
