It seems that at the inset performances of Maas Theatre&Dans' latest, 'Stuntkont', a few schools have already complained. Classes even walked out. Logical perhaps, at least for adult school teachers who can't take poop-and-pee jokes. Kids from 6 to 106 can only laugh really hard at it.
So poop-and-pee jokes turn out to be more fun than I myself expected. At least when they are made by the four men playing this family show.
By the way, the quartet '155', which is now bringing a breath of fresh air to theatres from Rotterdam via Maas Theatre and Dance, is not only made up of good jokers, they can also play insane guitar, fantastic drums and do cool keyboards. The fourth, who can't actually do anything, he confessed during the post-show discussion with the audience, has discovered that he can do a duet with his poop hole. None of them can play the recorder, by the way, but you have to put up with that. Because it does sound good.
Better than Andrew Tate
What makes the show so heartwarming is not just the ingenuity of the foursome, urged on by director René Geerlings. The set is brown with a wrinkled hole in it, from which fluffy balls and slippery sausages can emerge, plus clouds of smoke and the four players. The flat humour, which the idea can naturally lead to, is completely offset by the powerful dancing, with a few insane breakdance moments, and the tight soundtrack that they partly perform themselves.
According to latest reports, the man seems to be living an identity crisis. Boys of 11 now take their inspiration from suspicious sujits like Andrew Tate. René Geerlings and the men of 155 now offer an insanely funny alternative to that. For that reason alone, everyone should experience this hour.
And in the meantime, we are curious about their next pussy piece.
