Writers Pete Wu and Maxim February will each be guest editor-in-chief of ilfu.com, the online platform of literature festival ILFU, for two months from April. During their chief editorship, they will contribute pieces themselves, highlighting themes and authors they find of interest. The daily literary contributions on the platform are free to all. FILTER TRANSLATION AWARDS 2023: Two major translation awards for as many as four translators

Nicole Kaandorp wins NK Poetry Slam 2023

Nicole Kaandorp has become Dutch Poetry Slam 2023 champion. Utrecht authors Koos, Mari and Urai receive C.C.S. Cronestipendia 2023

Poet Laureate Babs Gons on tour with 1,000 poets

On Sunday 24 September, Babs Gons will be installed as Poet Laureate in Utrecht. Salman Rushdie speaks at ILFU

Salman Rushdie will give his first interview in the Netherlands on 30 September during the ILFU (International Literature Festival Utrecht) after the attempt on his life last year. Journalist Chris Keulemans and writer Abdelkader Benali will speak to Rushdie at TivoliVredenburg via a livestream connection about his new novel Victoria City and his extensive body of work. New names for ILFU - ILFU will take place this year from September 23 to October 7.

Night of Poetry celebrates 40th edition - Former Poet Laureate Babs Gons joins the Night editorial team

On 7 October, the 40th edition of the Night of Poetry will take place as the conclusion of the ILFU Festival. Gijs Wilbrink is the new editor-in-chief of ILFU's online platform, which publishes urgent literary fiction in line with current events. With 1,200 members and contributions from authors such as Manon Uphoff, ILFU aims to provide a counter voice to the growing group that has difficulty with fiction. Brand new award for translated children's and youth books

Together with the CPNB and the ILFU, the translation magazine Filter will introduce a brand new prize in 2023: the Filter Translation Prize for children's and youth books.
