De beste kunstwerken zijn mislukt, en het is aan het publiek om er een betekenis aan te geven, waar de kunstenaar geen controle over heeft, betoogde cabaretier Micha Wertheim in een essay voor De Correspondent. Dat vonden we een goed onderwerp voor onze vierde nerdpodcast. Marijn Lems (NRC,Theaterkrant) botst wel eens met mensen die hem in zijn recensies te veel op de morele kant van het kunstwerk vinden ingaan. Ondergetekende heeft over dat morele oordeel ook zo zijn twijfels.
