Theatre Concordia is looking for young creators who are inspired and feel like turning a plan or idea into a theatrical product. The theme of this second open call is Living on the Border. The chosen submissions will receive guidance and a Masterclass, a starting budget of 750 euros and a place in our summer programming.
During the first Open Call Never waste a good crisis (summer 2020), we made a selection of submissions. These makers were given the chance to perform them performance in our theatre. Now we would like to offer a more in-depth programme, a process in which you are given tools to turn your plan into a product. You will work together with theatre maker Iris Binnenmars and dramaturge Annemarie Wenzel. They will guide and coach the makers.
The theme Living on the Border can be a starting point; the border between the players and its audience, the border of our ability to adapt, the literal border of our city, etc. We encourage makers to submit a plan. From the applications, we will choose an initial selection of makers with whom we will schedule an introductory meeting.
Introductory interviews are scheduled on Thursday, May 6. Submission of a plan or proposal is possible until 25 April. For more info and submission see the website From Concordia.
