Saturday 11 June Open House at the three museums on the Amstel: Amsterdam Museum, Museum van de Geest and Dutch Heritage Amsterdam (Hermitage Amsterdam)

On Saturday 11 June, visitors can visit the exhibitions of the three museums on Amstel 51 for free. Museum van de Geest l Outsider Art, Dutch Heritage Amsterdam (Hermitage Amsterdam) and initiator the Amsterdam Museum are jointly organising an open house.

Visitors can visit the focus exhibition Dutch Heritage Amsterdam with Vincent van Gogh's The Yellow House (The Street) in the spotlight, the exhibition Along came your eyes with new works by Neo Matloga (winner ABN AMRO Art Prize), take a look at Museum van Geest and rediscover the city of Amsterdam in the collection presentation Panorama Amsterdam and three temporary exhibitions in the Amsterdam Museum wing.

During the open house, various activities will be organised in which the public may participate free of charge. For instance, visitors can meet artists such as Raquel van Haver and Bilal Chahal, join guided tours of the Amsterdam Museum and Museum of the Mind, participate in an embroidery workshop developed by Tess van Zalinge and attend a lecture by American historian and journalist Russel Shorto. For children and families, the Amsterdam Museum's children's programme -the Time Travel Guide- will be available all day and a VR experience can be experienced.

All the museums have recently been working hard on beautiful exhibitions. We would like to share with as many people as possible what can be experienced in this special cultural building on the Amstel.''

Tickets
The open house of the three museums in the museum building at Amstel 51 is on Saturday 11 June from 10am-6pm. Everyone can visit the exhibitions and take part in the public programming free of charge that day. Tickets can be reserved in advance via the ticket shops of the three museums or at the box office.
