In this edition, we highlight Arin Keshishi, an exceptionally talented bassist and the new artistic director of the Marmoucha Orchestra. His recently released debut album, 'Self-reflection', is more than a simple collection of musical pieces. The album represents a profound exploration of his personal identity, bridging traditional musical heritage with the modern sounds he has collected throughout his international career. For Arin, the ultimate goal of music is exactly this: to expand our worlds beyond our imagination and share these experiences.
Arin's versatility as a performer stems from his collaborations with international luminaries such as Antonio Lizana and Dhafer Yousef. An Iranian bassist with Armenian roots, he unites various musical styles, from jazz and flamenco to traditional folk music, in his unique sound. His move to Amsterdam marked an important turning point in his career, with the Marmoucha Orchestra as a focal point in his musical development. This partnership provided Arin with a platform to combine his eclectic background with the orchestral dynamics of the Marmoucha Orchestra.

The Marmoucha Orchestra consists of inspired musicians with a passion for music and the diversity of musical languages, including North African, Oriental, Arabic and Mediterranean styles and traditions.

In 'Self-reflection - The Live Experience', Arin and the Marmoucha Orchestra blend various musical styles into a harmonious whole. His fusion music, a blend of Eastern and Western influences, creates a seamless and unique sound, testifying to his deep understanding of different musical traditions.
