5-hour marathon Roman Tragedies favourite with spectators Toneelgroep Amsterdam

We were there some mildly ironic over, but hats off, meanwhile, to Toneelgroep Amsterdam's PR department and the audience, who responded remarkably well to the 'choose the reprise' campaign the company launched a few weeks back.
We have the hard numbers we feared we would never see. And they are credible.
We quote the press release:

From 2 to 13 February, audiences could decide which show Toneelgroep Amsterdam should repeat next season. 782 people responded. With 22% of the votes, Roman Tragedies was chosen as the outright favourite. In second place was Angels in America (18%), followed by All My Sons (11%). Notable are the high Shakespeare ratings (1e, 4e and 6e place) and a preference for marathon performances (Roman tragedies, Angels in America and The Russians!).

The voting results:

22% Roman tragedies | by William Shakespeare | directed by Ivo van Hove | 2007
18% Angels in America | by Tony Kushner | directed by Ivo van Hove | 2008

Roman Tragedies premiered at the 2007 Holland Festival and travelled to Vienna, Avignon, London, Zurich, Montreal, Quebec and Wroclaw, among others.
