Nerd theatre with electric dings and funny little mechanisms. I love it. In the last century spotted sth. on a construction scaffold with a starring role for taunting job sanders and nagging drill bits. I was hoping for something like this with Studio Gebroed's 'Days', but was a little disappointed.
The premise is fun, of course: we follow a creator who creates a very nice world together in a few days, who also appears to be doing well, but then cracks appear in his private life and creation falls apart. So that things go wrong in the world is not because God is on a business trip, but because he is in relationship therapy.
A nice touch, unfortunately brought too seriously and encapsulated in too big words. It is also quite difficult for that lone actor, with all his devices and switches, to also think of tone changes, excursions, a rest here and there.
Conclusion after this performance: things are going wrong in the world, but not only because we are taking God too seriously. Most of all, it goes wrong because God takes himself far too seriously.
