The wind players of the jongNBE (young Dutch Wind Ensemble) will support War Child's campaign in the coming month Break the silence. In the Netherlands, everyone has lived in freedom for 75 years, but 149 million children grow up in war zones. With this campaign, War Child wants to raise as much money as possible for these children, so they can enjoy playing, playing sports and making music together again. To break the silence and pass on the power of music.

Donations can be made via https://actie.voorwarchild.nl/actie/jong-nbe.
Donors who contribute to this action before 25 June will have a chance to win a living room concert by the youngNBE as soon as it is possible again.

Sunday evening 31 May 21.30, SBS6 airs the final part of the documentary Children in War, 75 years later. In it, well-known Dutch people like Hanneke Groenteman, Philip Freriks and Sjaak Swart tell their stories about the pain of war and that it often took decades before they could talk about it openly. They stress how important it is that the children currently growing up in war zones get support as soon as possible in dealing with their pain and experiences.

The jong Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, jongNBE for short, is an ensemble of young talented musicians from the Dutch conservatoires, some already finished, others still in the middle of their training. The ensemble consists of 10 musicians (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, saxophone, (bass) trombone, percussion and double bass/bass guitar) and is coached by experienced musicians from the NBE.
