The XL vaccination venue at the Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be from 5 May several times a week brightened up by performances by Utrecht music ensembles. Utrecht has a very diverse musical life that is eager to serve the city. The Nederlandse Bachvereniging kicks off on Wednesday 5 May.
Utrechters getting a vaccination have to wait 15 minutes after the prick. GGD regio Utrecht and the Utrecht music sector joined forces: 'Music can positively support the process on site, making the wait after vaccination more pleasant,' said Maaike Schaap (manager vaccinating) of GGD regio Utrecht.
This initiative comes from the Utrechts Muziekoverleg, in which the Utrecht music sector is united. From Utrecht's rich musical life, both professionals and amateur talents will perform in small ensembles. Two Young Bach Fellows of the Netherlands Bach Society will give the first concert on 5 May. Among others, the Dutch Violin Competition, Gaudeamus, the Kargadoor and DUMS will deliver programme in the coming weeks. TivoliVredenburg will provide on-site production.
