IDFA 2021 - Dutch documentaries are world documentaries

The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, which kicks off on 17 November and once again takes place largely on location, is looking forward to a strong Dutch selection this year. So it is no coincidence that opening film Four Journeys by Louis Hothothot is also a Dutch production. Although you might be tempted to call this dramatic, gripping yet liberating family reunion a Chinese film. That looking across borders is something we see in more Dutch documentaries ...
