The weekend of Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 January 2022 will be a special theatre weekend despite the lockdown, because then Maas theatre and dance will broadcast live two existing performances as well as a unique Toddler Press Conference. The Grote Red Je Reet Show (6+) and Lampje (8-108 yrs) would play several times in front of an audience during the Christmas holidays, but will instead play on livestream. In the free Toddler Press Conference (3+), audiences will be introduced to two characters from BullyBully, the show that cannot premiere due to the lockdown.
LIVESTREAM: THE BIG SAVE YOUR ASS SHOW (6+)
A reality game show, but in 3D, live and right in front of your nose. Led by a seasoned showmaster, five candidates compete against each other. But what are the rules of the game and why do they keep changing? And who saves his ass best today?
"Entertainment with a nod to television" **** Kidsweek. "Sometimes unfair, just like real life." *** NRC. "Strongly acted and comical family show" *** Allegiance.
The Great Save Your Ass Show (6+) will be broadcast live on Friday 7 January at 18:30.
Livestream tickets available for €7.50 per screen at maastd.co.uk/streams.
LIVESTREAM: TODDLER PRESS CONFERENCE (3+)
The world is upside down. A confusing start to the new year. High time for another press conference! Speaking are the two world leaders from BullyBully, the show scheduled to premiere on 8 January. All eyes are on our two BULLYs, hoping they can bring clarity to our toddler population. The Toddler Press Conference is a very serious press conference for very serious toddlers, preschoolers and parents. But also a playful action, to deal with the current lockdown in a cheerful way. At the end, there will be an opportunity for the toddler press to ask critical questions.
The Toddler Press Conference (3+) is a short broadcast on Saturday 8 January at 11:00. Livestream tickets can be booked for free at maastd.co.uk/streams.
LIVESTREAM: LIGHT (8-108)
Things are not going well for Lampje: in March 2020, the tour came to an abrupt end due to the first lockdown. This season, the show is back due to success, but again part of the tour falls apart. For all the children who don't want to miss Lampje, Maas will play the entire show on livestream this Christmas break. Lampje is a wild, poetic and moving adventure, based on the book by Annet Schaap. "Really everything is beautiful about this Lampje" (Noord-Hollands Dagblad). "Lampje is so lifelike that it seems as if she has jumped out of the book" (Trouw). "Recognition and amazement in ode to imagination" (Scenes).
Lampje (8-108) will be broadcast live on Sunday 9 January at 15:00.
Livestream tickets available for €7.50 per screen at maastd.co.uk/streams.
