STIP theatre productions and Plein Theatre present the youth theatre performance throughout spring break Micro... things are rebelling (7+). In this imaginative and humorous performance, everyday objects are given life. They are given voices and feelings and go into fierce protest. There are plenty of extra bonus activities daily in the theatre for children to experience before and after the show.

About the show

At Micro... things are rebelling (7+), a fire extinguisher, a ladder and all sorts of other items suddenly come to life and battle it out for their "moment to shine". They also want to be in the spotlight and make their presence felt firmly. In this magical slapstick performance full of fantasy, you will be taken inside the souls and hearts of everyday things that are going haywire.

The show was created by the promising theatre makers Sonja van Ojen and Hendrik Kegels who won the NTF Youth Theatre Pitch 2019 with the idea. STIP then took the show into production.

Bonus activities

Each day, free bonus activities before and after the show will be on offer.

  • 19 to 27 February: In the Micro-Universe, you can do an exciting scavenger hunt or chill out in the podcast corner.

  • 20 to 22 February: After the show, in the theatre workshop you will make your own objects come to life and create an exciting story! (Booking required)

  • February 21 and 22: A day out on your own? The Micro Crew will catch you for a super fun afternoon of theatre without your parents.

  • 25 and 26 February: Visitors transform themselves into a Micro object, take a photo and transform it into a real work of art!
