From 30 March to 16 June, it tours Broos across the country. A musical, light and moving performance by MATZER Theatre Productions with Lottie Hellingman about how you can lose yourself in caring for another. The premiere is Friday 31 March at Bossche's Verkadefabriek.
Suddenly, the world can be completely different. When you blink and open your eyes again, nothing is as it was. Never again. Everything has a different colour, a different smell, a different rhythm a different perspective.
Kyra is an adventurous woman and born for happiness. Together with her husband, she has a son and a daughter. Romy is a special girl. A girl who needs extra care. Then the balance turns out to be fragile.
What is it like when people always ask about the person you care for, but rarely about you? When you don't even really ask yourself that anymore. There's a little less of you left all the time. And what happens when you fall over? You can't. And so you carry on.
Broos is a musical, moving and hopeful performance about how you can lose yourself in caring for another and is inspired by interviews with mothers of a care-intensive child. Broos shows the beautiful as well as the dire sides of a healthcare story.
The show is performed by actress Lottie Hellingman and enriched by live music composed by Helge Slikker.
