Dutch tour WE, the EYES

THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE

Cultural organisations with a small or large membership can place their press releases on our site without restriction. Participate too? Become a member, as an institution.

In the riveting performance WE, the EYES dancers, together with virtuoso percussionists and experimental hip-hop/soul/jazz artist Pink Oculus, search for a new way of seeing. In a force field of mesmerising projections, seductive vocals, rousing beats and inspired dance, a new perspective is emerging.

The performers start from darkness, which forces them to appeal to other senses to find a connection with each other. Around them there is oratory and preaching, but the priestess could also be a pop idol or a false seer. The sound of rock, experimental and classical music propels the performers forward. As profane images race by in projections, they explore the world anew, sensually and sensually.

Does darkness offer new opportunities for the imagination in a society overwhelmed by visual culture and addiction to screens? Can we reconnect with the body, its instinct and intuition?

Choreographer duo Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten bring a new performance in their WE series with WE, the EYES, seeking connection and new perspectives in a complex world.

"An intense experience awaits the visitor: the performance is like a high mass full of singing and rituals." (theatre newspaper)

"an important life mission contained in beautiful total theatre" (Volkskrant ****)

We, The Eyes goes on tour from 17 February ash starting in The Hague and can be seen across the country until May. Information.
