ZID Theatre is hosting a special series of performances on Thursday 12 and Saturday 14 December, featuring the talented makers of FATE #4 present their work. Unique solo performances in theatre, dance, storytelling and multidisciplinary work will mark the fourth edition of the FATE talent development programme, with a festive finale! These evenings are all about diversity, creativity and the connecting power of art.
Talented newcomers with unique stories
FATE #4 brings together artists with refugee or migration backgrounds, each with their own artistic discipline and story. The Ukrainian Arina Matvieieva Her performance MError, the Syrian tells Ali stories that connect past and future, and reflects the Lebanese Rachelle Traboulsi in In the Belly (of the Beast) on living far from home, inspired by her mother's recipe book.
About FATE
The FATE programme offers newcomers and creative makers with a migration background a platform to develop their artistic vision and connect with the Dutch art world. Participants receive artistic guidance and business workshops, and build a network within the cultural sector. The ZID Theatre in Amsterdam is home to this programme, creating a safe environment for experimentation and collaboration.

Future projects
ZID Theatre is also looking ahead to the ExploreZ Festival 2025, which will take place from 16 to 25 May. A number of performances by FATE participants will be on show here, as well as during a large-scale performance in June in honour of Amsterdam's 750th anniversary.
