ZID Theatre presents its latest group production IN BRAND during ExploreZ festival 2026 (28 May to 7 June) in Amsterdam. The performance will premiere during the festival's opening on 28 May at Podium Mozaïek.

IN FIRE is an explosive and immersive performance by ZID Theatre, bringing together music, dance and theatre in an intense live experience.

Directed by artistic director and director Karolina Spaić, you will see a diverse group of performers trying to hold their own in a world under pressure. They run, collide, dream and fight - looking for a way out, for hope, for something to keep believing in.

Inspired by Albert Camus and his ideas on ‘creating dangerously’ let IN FIRE see how imagination can be a powerful engine in times of crisis - and asks the question: what is the artist's role in it?

Everything is burning. What remains? That which continues to burn within us
When reality becomes too heavy we seek solace in fantasy, but is that a way of escape, or just the beginning of change?

With powerful visuals, rousing music and intense acting, it takes IN FIRE takes you into a ritual of anger and hope. A performance for anyone who feels things should be different.

IN FIRE is interdisciplinary theatre that chafes, enters and does not let go. Expect a physical, visual and energetic performance that wants to touch and shake up.

The permanent cast of ZID, consisting of a diverse and international group of performers, presents this performance as the final part of the trilogy after the earlier parts WATER (2024) and SOURCE (2025).

In it, it becomes clear that climate issues cannot be separated from social and political movements.
