September 1 is 'Askacurator day'. Already more than a hundred museums in now 14 countries put their curators at the computer that day to answer questions from internet users. It is a first. Never before has such a Q&A hour been available worldwide, and never before have internet users been given access to the people behind museums like the Tate Modern, Van Gogh, Guggenheim.
Our reporters are following the #hashtag and will spot the highlights, but will also be there when things go wrong. And we will investigate whether it actually works, such a global museum Twitter day.
Partners in the media sector: this story can be delivered by mutual agreement. We also take production into account when planning your deadlines. As the day is set mainly in Europe and America, for a good overview, delivery for the paper edition is possible on 2 September. For web editions, we can be earlier.
