Time is running - dance performance for preschoolers

On Sunday 23 October 2022 at 3pm, Time Runs will premiere at the Chassé Theatre in Breda. Time Runs is a performance for children aged 4 and up. After the premiere, the show will tour Dutch theatres.

The show

What time is it? Is this the right time? Do you have time for me? It was a long time ago, or did it happen just now? Can you wait a moment? But how long does a moment last? Can you do it faster? In half a moment? I just saved some time. But does that mean I can use it later?

Now or later? Past and future. Yesterday and tomorrow. The clock is ticking. The world turns. The seasons shift. Everyone experiences time in their own way. You feel time passing. Sometimes at lightning speed, sometimes very slowly. But can you see time? What does it look like? Is time a clear line from one point to another? Or is it a circle that spins around and keeps coming back to the same place?

Try-out and tour

The try-out of the performance will take place on Saturday 22 October 2022 at the Chassé Theatre at 15:00. The performance will tour Festival de Betovering in The Hague, MAASPODIUM in Rotterdam and Bijlmerparktheater in Amsterdam, among others.

the Silence aims to use multi-dimensional performances and dance activities, which stimulate the imagination, to encourage children's playful urge to learn and drive their artistic abilities. Through play, a child's heart and soul learns about their world and how to position themselves in an overwhelming society. Play is the counterpart of everydayness: the child's personal training ground. In play, the child encounters the world from its conditions and in its format. The company has 12 dancers and annually presents 200 performances, 450 dance duets and 1,100 workshops.
