The Artists Are Present is ICK Dans Amsterdam's festival in which a new generation of artists present themselves to the public and share the floor with each other.
From 13 to 15 December, young dance and performance makers will take you on an exciting journey of discovery in a dynamic programme of performances, unexpected pop-up presentations and talks.
The short December days are illuminated by the imagination of dance: fluid identities, rebellious bodies, artificial realities, collective groove and surrender. The evenings are programmed around shared themes that preoccupy contemporary creators. It is an invitation to conversation between performances, artists and audiences. Scattered through the halls of Frascati, The Artists Are Present presents an energetic programme of edgy, poetic and contrarian makers, both from the Netherlands and abroad. Each evening is a new adventure with a different programme.During the day, the makers will work with each other in, and exchange their practices with each other in one of the studios of the Frascati Theatre. In this way, ICK Dance Amsterdam contributes to strengthening a community of young makers in the Amsterdam dance field.
