On Friday 7 June, Touria Meliani, Amsterdam's Alderman of Culture, visited the recently renovated Theatre Studio Artist Space. This studio serves as a rehearsal, creation and presentation space for new creators and is equipped with new lighting technology, sponsored by Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC), among other things.
During her visit, the councillor and guests attended performances by Elsemarijn Hijweege, among others, and interacted with ICK-supported dance makers Ainhoa Hernández Escudero, Robin Nimanong, Collective MAMM and Diego Oliveira.
The innovative lighting installation was specially designed to enrich the work of the creators and enhance the experience of future performances in the theatre studio. ETC's sponsorship played a vital role in the studio's renovation. Their high-quality equipment ensures that future productions in Theatre Studio Artist Space will be of high quality. In addition, ETC continuously offers their expertise in lighting technology through various workshops in ICK's Space for Dance Art.
