Utrecht, 27 January - Leonie Kuhlmann will start as business director of NUT (Nieuw Utrechts Toneel) from 1 February. Kuhlmann brings with her a wealth of experience both inside and outside the theatre sector. She will make her deploy skills for the strategic and organisational growth of the NUT.

Leonie Kuhlmann studied Administrative & Organisational Science and Teaching Theatre Making. In recent years, she worked as a project manager, advisor and manager in the social sector, while also creating her own performances as an autonomous theatre maker. Since 2022, she has been working as a business leader in the theatre sector, including for Werkplaats van de Woestijne, Live Your Story and with civic movement Collective Capital. Her managerial experience, her social commitment and her passion for culture and theatre make her the perfect candidate for her new position at Het NUT.

Leonie: "I like how the NUT operates at the interface between science, society and art and thus gets people moving. NUT's performances are existential, moving and funny at the same time. And also beautifully written.

I am immensely looking forward to being able to build the further future of the NUT together with the team, all collaborative partners and all our visitors."
