Delft, Monday, 26 April 2024 - The Supervisory Board of Delft Fringe Festival Foundation has changed in composition with effect from 24 April 2024. Corné Ran has been appointed the new chairman of the supervisory body, of which he was already vice-chairman since 2019. In addition to his appointment, the Supervisory Board has also been strengthened with the arrival of a new supervisor, Pim Deul.

New chairman Corné Ran

"The Delft Fringe Festival embraces talent and shares the magic of the performing arts. I strongly believe that the festival is invaluable for the makers, the audience, the many volunteers and the city of Delft. The connecting power is enormous. Together we give colour and meaning to each other's lives. This motivates me to use my knowledge and network for a successful organisation and high-profile Delft Fringe Festival.." - Corné Ran

New member Pim Deul

Pim Deul is owner/founder of the law firm PDD Legal Advising & Litigation. He is also, among other things, chairman of the board of Afro Vibes Foundation since 2019, co-founder of the Stories and Transformation Commission, which advocates against inequality of opportunity within education and the labour market, and curator/initiator of the online art platform Pimple's Art Platform, which presents, promotes and celebrates Black Art.

"I am delighted to be able to contribute to the further development of the Delft Fringe Festival, in which polyphony and diversity are important values. I will enthusiastically use my legal expertise and network in the coming years to keep the Delft Fringe Festival on course and realise its goals". - Pim Deul

The Supervisory Board keeps us on our toes

Roel Funcken, managing director of the Delft Fringe Festival Foundation, is delighted with the appointment and appointment of the supervisors: "Corné Ran and Pim Deul fit the profile we have drawn up for these two important positions perfectly. The Supervisory Board keeps us on our toes, advises us and asks the right questions about our direction. This outside view helps us as an organisation to do our work for new makers, the performing arts and the city of Delft even better." Corné Ran succeeds Ans Stephan who has reached the end of her term. "Stichting Delft Fringe Festival is very grateful to Ans Stephan for the contribution she, as supervisory chairman, has made to the further development and professionalisation of the organisation and the festival."As of today, the Supervisory Board consists of Corné Ran (chairman), Hanna van Gent (vice chairman), Alexander Alexiev, Tanja Groenendijk - de Vos, Nathalie van der Hak and Pim Deul.
