From 10 to 19 October, the Spoorpark in Tilburg will once again be the vibrant centre of Festival Circolo, the Netherlands' largest festival for contemporary circus. Today, the festival announces the full programme of its 13th edition, a celebration of playfulness with no fewer than 40 circus performances, including several Dutch premieres and exclusive performances. Playfulness as

Playfulness as an antidote to a troubled world

Festival Circolo 2025 is an ode to playfulness as an essential part of our existence. According to the festival, play is not just entertainment, but a universal language through which circus artists challenge and broaden the view of the world. Through impressive acts and unexpected encounters, the festival offers an urgent counterpoint in a society where seriousness increasingly dominates.

Collectif Malunés creates unique audience experience

One of the standout performances this year is EVERYTHING IS GOING SUPER WELL, the latest production by the renowned Collectif Malunés. This international company previously broke through internationally with the show BITBYBIT. In EVERYTHING IS GOING SUPER WELL the boundary between audience and performers disappears completely: visitors find themselves in the middle of the show, sitting at tables in a living set. World-class acrobatics, humour and surprising interaction combine to form an unprecedented total experience.

International success 'Les Dodos' finally coming to the Netherlands

Another long-awaited highlight is Les Dodos, the internationally successful show by French company Le P'tit Cirk. After nine years of sold-out venues across Europe, this charming spectacle finally makes its Dutch festival debut. With a mix of physical humour, spectacular acrobatics and live music, it celebrates Les Dodos The art of trial and error. A disarming and inspiring plea to keep getting up despite setbacks.

Pioneering new creators

This year, Festival Circolo also offers ample space to progressive new creators who step off the beaten path of circus. Among others, La Campistany presents the show Cirquemétrage, a cinematic experience that caricatures the grey office existence. The young collective !UKBUM! impresses with ARBO, a groundbreaking show in which circus and technology merge into a mesmerising visual spectacle, carried by hundreds of lights.

Circus conquers Tilburg

Festival Circolo 2025 offers a versatile programme with more than 40 performances. The beating heart is once again the Spoorpark, complemented by various satellite locations in the city such as Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg and Theater de Nieuwe Vorst. Visitors can immerse themselves for ten days in groundbreaking circus acts, surprising encounters and inspiring stories from home and abroad. Circolo invites audiences to rediscover how powerful, necessary and current the art of performing is.

Tickets and the full programme are available from today via festivalcircolo.co.uk.
