Ze zit op haar knieën. Schokkend en trillend deinst ze achteruit. Met klauwende vingers die in het luchtledige lijken te grijpen. Als een bange kat. Schuifelend beweegt de danser zich achterwaarts in een halve cirkel op de witte toneelvloer van Theater Kikker. Eén voor één stappen de vijf anderen het lege open speelvlak op, terwijl de eerste danser angstig het publiek blijft aankijken. Zo begint 'Storm end come'. Met deze voorstelling toont de Israë...

Death Horse puts on bold shoes and waves goodbye to Shakespeare in 'Bye Bye'

Het eigenzinnige collectief brengt een anderhalve uur durende actuele zedenschets en zielenspiegel, waarin wijzen naar ‘De Ander’ centraal staat. Wonderful though theatre is. The closing night of the Autumn Collection festival made me realise once again that the best actors do not always make the best performance. Expressiveness depends on more than acting talent and a proven literary text.
Ik zag twee voorstellingen, waarbij F.C.Bergman de torenhoge favoriet was. Teleurstellen deden de Vlamingen niet. Hun uitvoering van Pinters moderne klassieker De Thuiskomst maakte bij mij zelfs herinneringen wakker aan de eerste repertoirestap...
