Amsterdam, 26 March 2025 - With the publication The Government Gazette of 20 March 2025 declared the collective labour agreement for theatre and dance 2025-2026 generally binding (AVV). This means that all professional Dutch producers who make theatre and/or dance performances must apply this collective labour agreement for their staff.

CLA parties Nederlandse Associatie voor Podiumkunsten (NAPK) and Kunstenbond have applied for the AVV to regulate working conditions for the entire theatre and dance sector at an appropriate level. The collective agreement has a two-year term and will apply from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026.

This new CBA agreed on a general salary increase of twice 3.5%, with effect from 1 January 2025 and 1 January 2026. In addition, the CBA has been improved by broadening the continuation of salary payment in case of incapacity for work when it is the result of an injury sustained while working and by more flexibility in granting special leave.
