From 1 March 2025, the Nederlandse Associatie voor Podiumkunsten (NAPK) and the Verenigde Podiumkunsten Festivals (VPF) will work together in the new Platform Festivals. The Platform Festivals will become part of the NAPK.

The cooperation between NAPK and VPF strengthens advocacy for both producers and performing arts festivals and provides access to a larger network and more expertise. This strengthens the position of both the NAPK and festivals within the cultural sector.

About the VPF

The VPF is an alliance of more than 60 performing arts festivals in the Netherlands. These festivals are important meeting places where people enjoy music, dance, art, circus and theatre. They are known for their excellent programming, artists, organisation and facilities. Since 2016, the VPF has championed the interests of performing arts festivals with politicians and government.

About NAPK

NAPK is the trade association for professional performing arts producers in the Netherlands. It represents more than 195 companies and ensembles, from youth theatre to classical music. The NAPK is committed to good employment practices and a strong position of the performing arts in society by working towards a healthy labour market, advocacy and professionalisation of business operations.
