With the US permanently turned into an evangelical dictatorship, it was also time to rewrite history. On Artnet, which does still report independently, an article about a new National Heritage Museum in Washington, where the 'founding fathers' of what was once the world's greatest democracy are coming to life with AI. And telling a story that is only about the great things white men and women did to make it such a great country.
For instance, it appears that the 18th-century John Adams already talked about trangsgenders. But this is all possible thanks to AI for the children and adults referred to this from now on. The museum offers free teaching packages for all schools.
Artnet's reviewer tries to remain neutral: "The whole damned initiative bears all the hallmarks of something both written and animated using artificial intelligence. Some of the hodgepodge of facts and fables can be attributed to it. As usual, generative A.I. creates material that sounds coherent but is indiscriminately composed from different sources. For example, the quote "Resolve to serve no one more faithfully than your country", attributed by PragerU to William Ellery of Rhode Island, sounds like something one of the Founding Fathers would have said. But I cannot find evidence anywhere that he (or anyone else) said this."
