The premiere of the production on 9 October in Heerenveen Fierder nei it Noarden is sold out. There are still a few tickets available for the other dates on which the company is staging this intimate performance at the car workshop in Heerenveen. Fierder nei it Noarden It then sets off for garages in Drachten and Leeuwarden.
Sold-out premiere
With the premiere sold out, Haaima’s car workshop in Heerenveen is packed this Friday evening with hundreds of visitors following the musically accompanied story of Gabe, who is trying to rebuild his troubled relationship with his mother, Sunny. After Gabe, played by Tim Helderman, was once stranded in the garage as a child during a car journey to the Far North which his mother (Tamara Schoppert) had recklessly undertaken with him, it happens to him again twenty years later as an adult whilst he is searching for answers about his turbulent childhood. The audience witnesses him engaging in the conversation with Sunny that could not take place before. The performance, accompanied by music by Mats Voshol, is thus intimate and at times surreal, yet also raw and straightforward due to the setting.
In-depth exploration with Tryater Rûnom
Fierder nei it Noarden explores the parent-child relationship from the perspective of the son, who may well be looking after his mother rather than the other way round. In doing so, Tryater touches on a broad theme, which writer Herman van de Wijdeven and director Loek de Bakker have delved into through research and discussions with various parties. Special performances featuring a range of experts are also available to attend. In addition, Tryater Rûnom is exploring the theme in greater depth through, amongst other things, a video series due to appear on social media shortly, and accompanying events at various performances in Heerenveen, Drachten and Leeuwarden.
