19 and 20 May - Frascati, Amsterdam
ICK Dans Amsterdam presents two-day programme with performances, installations and a triple bill.
On Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May, ICK Dance Amsterdam presents the two-day festival The Artists Are Present, and Have No Shame. This programme brings together established artists and a new generation of creators to not only show their work, but also share the floor with each other.
The festival offers a dynamic programme of performances, installations, pop-ups and talks centred on dance and performance. The encounter between generations, disciplines and bodies is the starting point: a living field in which art is not presented as an end product, but as a direct encounter.
SHAME AS AN ENGINE OF PERFORMANCE
At The Artists Are Present, and Have No Shame shame is not seen as weakness, but as a sign that something real is happening. Performers show their bodies in their full strength and vulnerability and openly share their mistakes with the audience. This creates a direct, unfiltered relationship between performer and spectator.
In a world where art is increasingly under pressure, its necessity is emphatically expressed here. The artists question fixed identities, open up new possibilities and move between humanity and technology. Themes of gender, war, AI and relational connections come together in work that deploys intuition as a radical strategy: to disrupt, explore and surprise in the here and now.

PROGRAM
WE, the SHAMELESS
Emio Greco / Pieter C. Scholten
Tue 19 May & Wed 20 May 2026 - dance
Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten perform a heated “solo for two” in which two dancers respond to the voice of Eminem while forming a shared yet separate body. WE, the SHAMELESS explores shamelessness as curiosity about the radically different: bodies that converge, disintegrate and reinvent themselves.
Triple Bill: Birds of Paradise / FLUID FIGURES / Body:(Not)Found
Thais di Marco / Lucinda Wessels / Liza Sulaiman
Three makers present work that focuses on the body as a playing field of identity, tension and imagination.
Birds of Paradise - Thai di Marco
Two dancers balance between grace and gravity in a physical study of control and surrender.
FLUID FIGURES - Lucinda Wessels
A duet in which dance, sound and performance merge into a queer physicality in constant motion.
Body:(Not)Found - Liza Sulaiman
A confrontational performance about visibility and the blatant disappearance of bodies in contexts of conflict.
Intuition Machine
ICK Collective
Intuition Machine is an interactive performance and installation that merges dance and artificial intelligence. A body of light reacts in real time to the movements of performer and audience and translates them into image, sound and action.
Instead of language, this AI works on the basis of movement, intention and energy. Man and machine continuously influence each other in a game of predict, sense and deceive. Visitors are invited to move freely and activate the installation themselves.
