The Dutch Association for the Performing Arts (NAPK) is proud to announce the nominees for the NAPK Sustainability Award 2026. With this award, the NAPK recognises organisations and/or individuals in the performing arts sector who are working in an inspiring way towards a sustainable future.

This year, the jury has selected five nominees, each of whom makes a unique contribution to sustainability within the sector:

  • Rob van Wegen, a connector and driving force for sustainability within the festival sector, who brings organisations together and shares knowledge widely.
  • Marinus Vroom (Vis à Vis), a pioneer in sustainable production and the creative reuse of materials, and one of the first to incorporate climate change into theatre productions.
  • Marion Cornelissen (Internationaal Theater Amsterdam), who is working on making ITA’s historic theatre building more sustainable through innovative and accessible projects.
  • Sarah Moeremans and Rick Spaan (Het Zuidelijk Toneel), who use sustainability as a creative driving force and set an example within the sector.
  • Raïssa Pater (Nicole Beutler Projects), a pioneer in the field of sustainable production and an active knowledge-sharer and innovator within the performing arts.

According to the jury, the nominees stand out for their vision, drive and ability to inspire others. They demonstrate that sustainability is not only a necessity, but also a source of creativity, collaboration and innovation.

The winner of the NAPK Sustainability Award will be announced on 9 November 2026 at the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.

The Dutch Association for the Performing Arts is the trade association for professional
