Last week, Theatre Festival Boulevard announced the first performances as well as the theme 'Hack the horizon'. Today at noon, online ticket sales start for a large part of the programming. The programme is still under development and will be announced through online channels in the coming weeks. Fans can buy tickets from now for Jan Martens/GRIP, Nastaran Razawi Khorasani, BERLIN, Circus Ronaldo and Alexandra Broeder, among others. This year, for the first time, tickets for performances at the festival centre are also on sale in advance. With performances by Theater Artemis, Woodman/Joke Emmers, Donna Chittick and Club Gewalt, among others.

Tickets are on sale at www.festivalboulevard.nl. During the festival, it is also possible to buy tickets on the spot. To ensure the safety of our visitors, the entire festival is organised at 1.5 metres. As a result, fewer tickets are available than usual. The Friends of Boulevard could already get tickets in presale this week. 'The Case of Shell' by Anoek Nuyens & Rebekka de Wit, 'Born to manifest' by Josephn Toonga, 'Murakami' by Ikarai presented by November Music, 'BALSAM' by Laika / Zefiro Torna, and 'Lady Chatterly's Lover' by De Warme Winkel/Florian Myjer could count on the most interest from the Friends of Boulevard.

Space

For the 2021 programme, the festival is looking even more to the city than in previous years, with performances at unique (outdoor) locations in and around the city centre, a new, spacious festival centre in the Zuiderpark in 's-Hertogenbosch with large theatre tents, catering facilities, free programming and a longer festival period from Thursday 5 to Sunday 22 August 2021.

Hack the horizon

Under the slogan Hack the horizon this year, the festival invites people to think about the future and the shelf life of deeply held beliefs. Theatre-makers are indispensable in this. They connect and point to unbeaten paths. They intertwine dream and courage. That is why this year Boulevard invites its audience to learn to relate to themselves anew through the makers. To nature and the climate. To our origins, care and health. To each other. Because a new era cannot start without a new outlook.

Bossche summer

Like last year, the festival is part of the Bossche Zomer: an initiative in which two months of space is given to entrepreneurs, institutions and visitors to come together (with the RIVM measures as a prerequisite) in innovative and creative ways in familiar and new places.
